The Role

An opportunity has become available within Wind Prospect's Wind Development Team for a Development Officer. The role will be to provide development assistance and support to the Development Managers and Planning Services Manager, in the development of onshore wind farm projects in Victoria. The role includes:

  •  Supporting the development of wind farm projects in Victoria, and Australia where required
  • Contributing to the prospecting and feasibility assessment of potential wind farm sites
  • Assisting Development Managers in all aspects of wind farm development including the technical assessment process, the planning application process, negotiating agreements with relevant landowners, the public consultation process and client reporting.
  • Managing GIS data as required.
  • Assisting in other aspects as required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills
  • Well developed problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Contribute to the culture of working in partnership and delivering capacity through our quality, pioneering and decisive approach.
  • Engineering, Environmental or Planning degree or equivalent
  • Wind or renewable energy background favourable
  • Project Management experience favourable
  • GIS experience favourable
  • Ability to travel (including interstate) as required
