The Role

An opportunity has become available within Wind Prospect's Wind Development Team for a Development Manager. The role will be to project manage the development of onshore wind farm projects in Victoria, and co-ordinate the support of Development Officers that will be assisting with development projects. The role includes:

•  Undertaking the development of wind farm projects in Victoria and Australia as required
• Contributing to the prospecting and feasibility assessment of potential wind farm sites
• Undertaking all aspects of wind farm development including management of the technical assessment process, managing the planning application process, negotiating agreements with relevant landowners, managing public consultation processes and managing client reporting.
• Working within the regulatory framework within Victoria and various jurisdictions around Australia where required
• Liaising with project clients
• Liaising with grid operators and regulators as required

The Candidate

The following are preferable skills and qualifications to be held by candidates:

• Wind or renewable energy background preferable
• Project Management experience preferable
• Strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships, both internally and externally and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work with initiative
• Contribute to the culture of working in partnership and delivering capacity through our quality, pioneering and decisive approach.
• Engineering, Environmental or Planning degree or equivalent
• Ability to travel (including interstate) as required
