Armaec Energy chooses know-how of Wind Prospect for 400MW Indian portfolio

05/10/2009

Wind Prospect has been appointed to provide development and engineering consultancy services on nine wind power projects across India for the Armaec Energy Group.

Wind Prospect is reviewing over 400MW of projects which are at varying stages of development in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The company will provide support to the projects throughout the development, pre-construction and construction phases.

Developer Armaec Energy is an independent power producer with ambitious plans to build a portfolio of 1500MW in selected high growth wind markets such as India.

Gabriel Amiel, Commercial Manager at Wind Prospect said:
“Having consented 1,500 MW of our own development projects worldwide, we are using this experience to help companies in India develop wind energy projects to internationally recognised standards, allowing them to attract the funding they require.”

Wind Prospect’s record of work in India continues to expand with the consultancy team having recently completed an offshore development strategy review for a major Indian corporation. The team is also working closely with several other Indian developers to provide development assistance for both onshore and offshore projects.
