19/10/2009 Wind Prospect’s French office celebrated its anniversary earlier this month, with a cocktail reception held for more than fifty guests at the Musée des Arts et Métiers, in Paris.
Invited guests included insurance companies, bankers, developers, manufacturers, owners and government officials from the wind industry, gathering together to celebrate this important milestone.
Barthélémy Rouer, General Manager of Wind Prospect SAS said:
“This event commemorates the success of Wind Prospect SAS and provides the opportunity for wind energy professionals to discuss our industry in a relaxed environment.
“Many developers are becoming increasingly concerned with the regulatory evolution. The virulence of local opposition to wind projects, including groups that are small but well organised, is adding to a growing reluctance of the planning authorities to grant development applications, which in turn has lead to a decrease in development activity.
“On a positive note, after a slow start to 2009, activity within mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and in construction, appears to be increasing as we head towards the end of the year.
“Finally, in relation to wind farm operations, we note that investors, banks and insurers are calling for better practices & higher standards, and have indicated the need for a separation of roles between developers, technical managers and maintenance providers, calling for the provision of independent key performance indicators.” |
